Soma Yoga

A Soma yoga class begins with gentle movements for the spine, hips and shoulders. Principles of alignment promote healthy range of motion to muscles and joints. Students are gently guided into movements and postures with respect to individual need. An emphasis on breath anchors the mind and calms the emotions.

Much of Jean's work has evolved from her teacher training and continued advanced study with Donna Farhi since 2003.

"When we are supported by the intelligence of the breath, we learn to adapt our yoga postures to our unique structure. As we relinquish forceful effort and striving, we discover that the larger movement of the breath can support us in all aspects of our life."
